Gordon Murray is definitely very strong in creating high quality packages. But this is not about shiny, rustled and sometimes pointless plastic thingy that people receive everything they buy – from food to shoes. This is about the art and science to pack passengers, cargo and propulsion system in an efficient and cleaner road package. McLaren F1 revolution was everywhere with its unique configuration with three seats, as the driver is in the middle. In his words, but his next car will be a huge step forward. And this step will not necessarily be in an already well-trodden path. “We made a supercar – but it will be a new breed” – said Murray. “By the way supercar are doing now, they simply have no future.” In this case, Murray speaks out for brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini, as are so focused on speed and power that gradually move towards a vanishing type of cars.
And to a large degree of truth in it – even sports cars from the middle class as the Nissan 370Z, Ford Mustang GT and Chevrolet Camaro reach levels of power and dynamics that simply can not be safely controlled the streets. But Supercar already progressing so that, in consequence of the high power they are capable of using any places other than tracks.
